Rates and Policies
Relief Services
Weekday relief services are billed at $155 per hour. Weekend relief services are billed at 50% above the weekday rate. Time exceeding 10 hours in a shift is billed at 50% above the weekday rate. Holidays are billed at 2 times the weekday rate.
Routine Surgical Services
Most routine surgical services are billed at the general relief rate plus $15 per hour. Advanced surgical services are arranged in advance on a case-by-case basis, depending on procedure complexity and location.
Mobile Ultrasound Services
Mobile ultrasound services include a $200 travel fee per clinic location per day. The travel fee is waived when at least 3 patients are scheduled for that day.
Ultrasound pricing:
• Full abdominal ultrasound: $370
• Single organ ultrasound: $150
• Urinary system only: $250
• Ultrasound-guided FNA: $30 per site
• Ultrasound-guided core biopsy: $450 per organ
Ultrasound Protocol
Injectable sedation is required for diagnostic imaging services and ultrasound-guided procedures. For ultrasound-guided organ biopsy procedures, CBC and coagulation panel bloodwork completed within 30 days of the procedure is required. Procedure-specific drug and supply needs will be confirmed with the clinic in advance.
Scheduling, pricing, cancellation terms, and procedure-specific requirements will be confirmed in writing with the clinic before the appointment date.
Minimum Booking
Shifts within 15 miles of Avondale may be booked for 4–6 hours. Otherwise, the minimum booking is 8 hours unless otherwise arranged. One paid hour for lunch is included in bookings of 8 or more hours. Additional travel charges may apply for locations more than 30 miles from Avondale.
Cancellation Policy
Relief shifts cancelled with less than 7 days’ notice are billed at 100% of the scheduled amount. Cancellations made 1–2 weeks in advance are billed at 75%. Cancellations made 2–4 weeks in advance are billed at 50%. Cancellations made more than 30 days in advance are not billed.
Ultrasound cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are billed at the greater of 100% of scheduled fees or $200. Cancellations made 24–48 hours in advance are billed at the greater of 50% of scheduled fees or $200. Cancellations made 48 hours to 7 days in advance are billed at $200. Cancellations made more than 7 days in advance are not billed.
Billing
Invoices are typically sent within 24–48 hours after completed work. Payment is due within 14 days of invoice receipt.
